Took the backseat out and pried the carpet up to dry out the moisture from the leaky heater core several months back. I found among the artifacts under the seat a unopened kid print bandaid from when the car was new and my daughter was little! June

I tried to open it and it had turned to jelly... I guess it's a mark of a family car. June

Food and drink were never allowed in my Volvo! I live in Florida where spilled food attracts roaches, as in the insect variety Abscate  My daughter did have a bandaid fixation around 3-4 years old=within the car's first or second year of it's life. June

For the band-aid fixated, I recommend Robert McCloskey's "Burt Dow, Deep Water Man," a classic kid's book in all respects with fabulous illustrations. Possible it was a Newberry Award winner as well (but I didn't check).

That’s the “ make way for ducklings” author isn’t it?

All I know is that old cheese doodles behind seats smell like someone's peed themselves in wet weather.
