Passenger Airbag Off Warning

Sometimes this light comes on with someone in the passenger seat
Usually having them undo the seatbelt and rebuckle it fixes the light. Is there a fix for this?

You can parts dart wth a junkyard part, or use VIDA which will give you the part generating the code. Could be the buckle or the passenger weight sensor. IF SWMBO usually rides shotgun report the error as ‘ not enough weight detected to enable airbag” regardless of what it might say

I usually tell my passengers which are almost always tiny female family members to start eating a little more so the light goes off. And of course I immediately get the eyeroll.
