93 940 wagon nonturbo: gas gauge

93 940 wagon nonturbo: gas gauge

for the past year or so the gas gauge has been off by as much as 1/4 tank
how big a deal is it to replace the float ?

It's not too hard a job, just needs care to avoid damaging the new unit as you put it in. This is the VADIS method. The only thing they omit is to loosen the big nut first.
