So, my air bag light is on and its starting to bug me. I have read in places that its because of unhooking the battery. That could of course be complete BS, or absoltely the case. The battery was bad and was replaced.
So, whether or not thats relevant, is there any way for me, joe schmoe without a sophisticated scanner (i have a cheapo odbc II) to reset this thing?
...or maybe there is genuinely something wrong?
SRS light on

Hate to tell you this but you can't reset it even with a scanner. You'll have to take it to the dealer. Unhooking the battery won't do this unless there was some issue in the airbag or SRS system to begin with unless you were working on part of the car that affected the airbag system. Even then, disconnecting the battery for several minutes before working in/on that area would keep the light from illuminating, not causing it to illuminate. Hope the dealer doesn't find some reason it's on and have to "fix" something along with the light reset.
