Among several small things when timing belt was replaced a while back at 75k was a new set of Rain-X wiper blades. I noticed recently that the blade arm actually touches the hood. It seems that the blade depth is so much and the clearance so close that the blade arm touches the hood, and while there is some observable wear on the blade arm, the hood doesn't seem to be too much affected. But still! They wipe well, still 2.5 years later--the car is garaged most of the time. I thought at first it was a problem with the Rain-X blades, but...
...here's the thread on the same problem with 850s
I am not sure I really understand the fix presented in that thread. Alex243's response is to just bend them. I'm having trouble picturing which way I need to bend.
This IPD video describes a related problem, but not exactly the problem I'm experiencing. My problem is with the touching the hood, not visibility. Looks to me like this could be solved by bending and twisting.
Anyone else have this problem on 960 and solved it?
