Hi guys,
My 940 is leaking fluid from the condenser.
At a first glance, there is fluid in the area of the three pressostats and green fluid on my garage floor. When I touched the fluid, it does not smell but it is oily.
I did not look in detail yet, however, it is possible that the condenser, after 23 years, has a hole, but I guess it could be a seal too???
I have some questions for you:
If I want to remove the condenser, do I need to flush the whole system?
If so, I have no other choice other than getting it done at a garage.
Is it possible that my A/C has already lost the R134 together with the green fluid?
My plan was to replace the condenser myself and then get the car at the garage to recharge the system.
I had a quick look at what can be found on the market, it appears the genuine part is discontinued, therefore I need to know if you have any suggestions on which aftermarket brand to look for.
Oh...I guess I can drive the car if I am not using the A/C system, correct?
Thank you!
Alex

I thought about it but after having seen the amount of fluid on the garage floor, the leak must be big... I will have some time to look at it on Sunday.
Thank you,
Alex

Hi folks,
I think a picture will say it all...

Once I have disassembled the whole thing, I expect to find quite a hole in there...after 23 years, I do not complain though.
I removed all the screws on top of the condenser, apart the pressostats, is there anything else that is keeping the condenser in place, something at the bottom or on the sides?
Any advice is always very welcome!
Thank you,
Alex
