Drive axles

FCP had been selling DSS, then switched to FEQ due to customer complaints and quality issues with DSS (so they told me). I've had the FEQs on my car now for about 6,000 miles with no problems.

There's enough noise in the system about axles now that I think if I had to do it again I'd either spring for volvo or a known better quality replacement.

Just received my replacement axle yesterday (please note: spelled it correctly) and it is a WONH and on the package it states: ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company. I do know companies strive to get such certification. One of these times I will install it as I had a good used one I already put it.

I must say FCP goes out of their way to make it right for us.

The actual axle has broken, not the joint.

I spoke with FCP about the 3 staked nuts for the FEQ axles and they said they would send me new nuts.....

.. for the axles, but did go on to say that the staked nuts are the correct ones to use and are not really that keen about sending more nuts. I have to caliper the axle for the correct size of thread
