...and maybe 1954 is just too old for a DD.

The '64 looks to have lots of potential. Little evidence of rust, except maybe the left bumper guard. Missing the VOLVO letters on the hood.

He told me he has all the trim. Has an extra windshield, an extra dash. I sat in it but didn't drive it.

I know today was essentially to celebrate 50 years of the original London to Mexico Rally but this year is also 25 years since the rerun event in 1995. In 2013 we were lucky to becoming the new owners of the Volvo 123GT that ran as car 22 and finished 13th overall in the hands of Howard Patterson and Ian North. After restoration, we now take it out at motorsports shows, on demo stages to enjoy the car but also make people aware that this and other events like it happened.

Impressive! They must have had very good door and window seals....
That bumper is something - to push cows and small children out of the way?

Here's a sweet 544 for sale in the Seattle area.

Going back several weeks in this thread, more info on SU carburetor repair. On a whim, I got out an old tube of toothpaste to see if it would clean the discolored body. A bit of rubbing the toothpaste on with an old toothbrush followed by wipe off with water and appearance is much improved. I lot of improvement for very little effort and it smells good too!

You should brush your carburetor 2x per day to make the dentist happy.
