Hi just out of curiosity whats the box underneath the passanger seat?

Update on my part ( sorry i dont know so much about cars) : sent the car to a workshop and they did the diagnostic, they said theres faulty with the radio module control or something. just wondering what they meant by that? when i asked them if they can fix volvo they said they cant.

The module under the the seat is DAB I believe. In my situation it seems to be fine.
I have uploaded some photos.

I had some issues with Car Antenna, Parking Sensors but I have fixed those :). The car antenna was causing Volvo On Call Service Required and parking sensor had a damaged/cut cable.

And info from Vdash (already cracked CEM)

I see! So this box underneath ( https://hernvf9-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g ... A?e=XpdDfh ) is the DAB ? im not sure if its the cos of the cable, if you look closely its already worn out.

I just wanted to check if its the worn out/damaged cable not the actual part before i buy the part :)

he mentioned it is these cables
he mentioned it is these cables
Hi, so i have replaced the ICM display recently , and it worked for like 10 sec then it switches off, it happened quite a few times when i want to use the car.

The workshop i went to, that helped replaced mentioned , it is probably the cables cos they have tried to play around with the cables and it worked for a while. then they installed back, and again it worked for like 10 secs then it switches off.

My question is, is it really the cable?and if it is whats the name of the cable items?

Perhaps worth getting multiplier and see if there isn't a drop in voltage on the cable?
Maybe Theft protection for most needs taking off. Your screen looks completely different to what i got i only got two cables in vidoe (blue) and power.

The Theft protection works in the way that it shut down the unit after 30 second if the serial number does not match with the CEM but it should display in VIDA the error message.

For example in my case replacing the screen does not make any difference probably because it's just display for me.

I see, ive decided to get it checked at the volvo car agent. Hopefully the can at least try to find the faulty.

i went to 2 diff workshops, 1 workshop said it needs screen replacement and 2nd workshop said the screen might still be good, its just the fibre optic cable or some wirings.

I am still struggling with my screen issue.
Volvo Dealer says that ICM need replacing £1500 a bit joke. They completely ignored me when I asked them to do ICM/IAM software reload.
Another garage just want to do IAM reload which what i asked dealer for.

Hopefully it will be fixed this week.

I would not recommend Oxford Wayland. After 2h they called me saying that there is no radio in the car :>
The whole dashboard was dismounted by me and you can clearly see the radio or you could just lift the plastic so no idea who works there.

Anyway 75 out of my pocket for diagnostics and 8h car spent in the garage just to tell me that the radio need replacing.

completely ignored the information from me that i have broken it myself while clearing the error codes.

Update :

Since previously i have ICM problem so i bought a replacement ,a used unit, and screen only appeared for 10-15 secs and went blank and no audio as well. So i decided to replace it with an android player. However, it did the same thing, except the android screen works but there is no audio after 10 secs or less.

What could be the actual problem? were really scratching our heads
