Hy Buddies,
Hope this message will find you safe by these times of "strange things happen"...
I have a special mind to americans fellows who work hard to keep their job, their health, the unit of their family...
I would ask a question that may have been asked many times since 1995. My english is not good enough to know how to title MVS search engine; so i ask your help.
My dashboard peels off above the glovebox. Is it possible to find a tutorial on the site to repair it ?
Cheers.
Manov

Hi Manov, good to hear from you. Just to clarify, the part that you want to repair is just above the glove box. Is it part of the removable dash top or part of the lower section of dash? If it is the upper part near the airbag part, it may be easier to find a better one and replace it. That is not a huge job to do.
A picture would help if you can.
Hope all are well in your home and hoping Europe gets through all this alone with the rest of us.
Neil.

Yo Neil,
It's cool to read you again. I apologize for my silence these last months. I think my last post was about to propose to help Robert DIY and the stolen tools story ...
Here's the picture.
It doesn't seem to be a huge job to glu back, so if any idea ...
By the way another question : can someone tell me to what correspond the button on the "door" position ? My battery downloaded very quickly recently. Could the button on the "door" position may have been the source of the fact state ? Much Much Thanks
Manov

Door position means that the lights will stay on if one door/the hatch is open so it could discharge your battery.

There is no cure for dashboard except to replace the whole upper section.
It removes easily and goes up in one piece.
The problem is that....even a replacement will in time become like the old one.
That's the problem with early covers (up to '96 for EU market cars)without passenger's airbag.

Passenger's side airbag will not be active since the car is not originally equipped with it.
You can remove it completely and install the dash without it.

All right. No other solutions then. The passenger airbag came from the 96 models ?
I have another question : how to solve this one ? Rust on bolts. Drill make a mark on the bolt head and try to unscrew ? I woulmdn"'t like to heat the bolts because the tank is near... Thanks.
