I purchased my AWD shaft collar/sleeve about 2 years ago and its been sitting on the shelf rusting (literally) . Reason ive been putting it off is i had a really hard time removing the collar on my (practice) junked car, i removed the fender to lever/pull against the car body.
REAR wheels are dead, driveshaft rotates so VCoupling is working. All wheels up there is a clicking noise coming from angle gear area.
I bought the sleeve on its own , i should of got the kit...now i need the seals
According to other forums Volvo has two seals 9143911 listed for the same part number new part and old part are different in size, so it looks like a seamless replacement job old part off new part on is looking very unlikely.
Just to add confusion Volvo Australia insist my car has an Automatic gearbox despite there being a 3=M58 in my VIN
hopefully this surface rust is on the angle gear side and doesnt affect the gearbox oil seal..
