I need some help I just bought a 2001 s60 t5 with 106300 miles on it guy told me it has had no issues and he had sparkplug change the day I bought it I got it home after a20 min drive turned it off and now cant go anywhere over 10mph is comes up with code p00121 and p0068. Also ABS light with code 00070. It sounds like too much air Is going through the engine and smells like exhaust when i am looking at the engine. volvolugnut has supplied you with good information - that would be my original guess based on year and model.

I had a 2001 XC70 with same issues, not as bad, and I converted the MM throttle body to contactless SACR unit and never had issues afterwards. All told it was under $150 and some work. There are write ups on the forum

It is a good car and once you have it sorted you will be happy.

I would check for sticky throttle butterfly. Clean out the bore of the throttle body.

Try resetting all the codes and see if the throttle body comes back inline.

You get about 10,000 miles on them once they start coding, usually

Interesting Superherman, would you care to share where you acquired the highlighted throttle body?
That’s a darn good price for contactless.
Did you do replace the wire harness to ECM as well?
Sorry for the hijack.

There are a large number of discussions on the MM throttle body and its various failures. You can start here:

viewtopic.php?t=81609

and on the bottom of the page under "Similar Topics" you can keep on reading and reading. Different posts will also create additional "Similar Topics".

First thing once must do is determine what type of failure the MM has suffered. If the SACER unit is a cure it is not a bad install.

This video is pretty good at explanation of the MM unit and VIDA tests:

This video shows how the SACER unit is installed.

In the first link, I posted search terms which if used will provide sources of the kit - they run around $100.

I installed the part per instructions and other than that modification no programming or additional wire harness modifications were needed.

I did the sacer mod last month on my 2001. My biggest improvement was switching the pedal for a contactless. If your pedal is all black you should change it.

I went and pulled throttle body from v70 it looks like in great shape so I installed it yesterday. My son left something going in the car so battery went dead... i jumped the car this morning I got it to start but there was a high pitch wining noise so I shut off engine to check if I had a tightened all hoses ect. Now it won't start at all I can only get the battery to hold a charge of 9.75v maybe a new battery next? I'm also getting a error about oxygen sensor.and transmission no signal.
