94 850 Blower motor replacement

Need some more advice from you, thanks in advance for any.

I just finished removing my old heater blower motor following the instructions on the YouTube video posted earlier. The instructions were right on, the old one came out easily, and the new one went in and is all mounted. All connections have been remade, but on the last connection I ran into a snag.

My car is a 94 850 and the main connection is different on the motor I replaced than it is on the one that I installed. The 94 wires are connected to a connector that is more square. The new motor (I bought on Ebay from a guy that claimed it came out of a 94 850) has a receptacle that is more long and rectangular so I suspect the newer motor installed came from a newer model.

My question is can I buy the newer connector and cut off the older one then plug the wires into the newer one and have it work with no problems?
And, if this is possible, does anyone know where I can find out the part number for the newer style plug?

It could be that the connectors on the ECC and the manual units are different and they both indeed came from a '94.

What are your wire colors that go to the blower?

On a manual unit I show them as a GRN/RED wire and BLK wire. On the electronic unit I show them as a BLU wire and RED wire. Since the wire colors are different it might follow that the connectors are different. The fan motor should be about the same though even though they have different part numbers.

With the wire colors from your harness I can tell you what connector you need to snip from which car from a bone yard to get it hooked up.
