Looks like an awful lot of seals.
Good luck and make sure to take pictures. I'll post them up in the repair database!

Phenomenal finding, thanks a million.
So busy living it up as a wild S70nist to even pounder the debilitating amnesia and ravaging aphasias permeating the S80s.

Many Thanks Made In Japan!, Are you sure you are not 'Made In Sweden'?
What a wealth of information; both you and the 850 Maual Download. BUT, I still can't find a good Hvac diagram. I just posted an Hvac problem; almost no airflow to defrost, floor, etc and cannot find a blockage. Blower runs fine, but is blocked along the way. Any ideas? Phil

I tried to download this file, it would be a great help to this non-mechanical novice Volvo driver, but all I got was a blank page. Help!

Hello,

I'm the owner of a 1996 850 sedan. My wife found your site and I have been spending hours pouring over all the information in it including downloading the manual. Great information! It has encouraged my ownership of my very first Volvo, of which I haven't been overly enthusiastic due to numerous and weird problems, ie; when I lifted the trunk lid, the door locks would all continuously lock as if someone kept pressing the lock button (I later discovered there was a kink in the wiring harness leading to the trunk lid the was shorting something out! - I un-kinked it, and it has worked fine since).

Since I've owned the car, (bought in 2006) I've had to replace the blower motor and blower motor resistor and the distributor cap, rotor, wires and plugs. The odometer has quit working and I'll have to replace the small plastic gear in the instrument panel (you have great pics for that!)
There have been multiple trim problems that have caused me grief, including the missing trim at the top of the windshield. A teenager that owned it before me, scabbed in a piece-of-junk stereo head that I can't wait to jerk out of there and take a sledge hammer to. It looks like something was cut out of the double-din opening to make it fit - I'm wondering how I will fix that.

Anyways, I very much appreciate your website and will make a donation for your effort - again, Many Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Glad the manual has been helpful.
If you could take a picture of the double din opening (where it has been buggered up) and start a new thread, posting the picture, we'll see what we can do to help you with it.
Regards,
MIJ
