Returned my Quick Jacks from Costco. Squeaking and son always put jack stands (only have 2) under the front or rear just in case.
.
Did you not like the quickjack?
At the end of the day I didn't feel safe under it.

1) A little heavy and if there is a slight crown in the garage floor it'll get stuck when pushing it. Never tried the pull handle however.
2) Lift height is low 20" plus. The new Jack Stand around 24".
3) C30 is low to stack spacers, Atlas & Odyssey too long for the Jack's lift points. Jack is too short end to end and you need to buy their extension in order for it to lift at the pinch points.
4) Too flexible so after half a dozen uses started to groan.
5) Quality control is lacking in the pivot points (moves / sloppy)
6) Takes a little time to setup making sure it is centered front and back and side to side.

For the prices I think 2 solid Jacks one for each side and 4 jack stands is safer and maybe even faster.

Will attempt to use Superstruts spanning the pinch weld to lift one whole side at a time.

10ft cut in half one for each side.

.
This looks interesting. Lift then use stands.

850oldschool wrote: 20 May 2020, 09:44 I bought a pair of Esco jackstands shortly after I got my first 850. I love the heavy duty
rubber pad on top and the pin style height adjustment:

https://esco.net/products/esco-3-ton-pe ... ack-stand/
I have a pair of these and can recommend them as well.

Two things to note.
1) These are the "shorty" version.
On the page linked above it says "Similar to the [Model 10498] with a shorter base and post"

I specifically bought the shorty style because the minimum height (11") was was more flexible for me than the 13" minimum of their regular ones. I have never run out of height on the shorties.

2) the rubber pads on top can get cut up easily..
I was shocked to find out the price of replacement pads ($25 each!!) so I'm looking at alternatives.
hockey puck? there are plenty of universal pads on amazon but I haven't measured to make sure they will fit.

I really like my HF jack stands, never an issue. I had two sets of 3 ton, brought one back yesterday as soon as I got the recall email. The other set I bought a couple months ago and the item number wasn't affected.

I'm going to be careful from now on though and add some extra security under the car. If I have the wheels off, I always slide them under to a point where they'll catch the car, but I'm not always working with the wheels off. I just swapped the transmission in my old 940 last week under the recalled jack stands! Fortunately over the 2-3 years I've been using them, they never showed any signs of failing!

I'm probably going to order those 3 ton Pro Lift stands from Amazon. I really like the extra pin, that could save your life if the pawl somehow fails.

I have enough of those that I could stack them up at all four corners for safety. Same with the parts trays they used to have free coupons for.

Air powered Jack stand.

We used the dickens out of it for that least three decades. Never had any problem with it and always enough clearance. Adjustable on the fly. I think one of my nephews ended up with it.

Wow... that’s scary. And to think how much work I did under mine before returning them...
