I started a thread about any issues I needed to know about removing the rear bumper. I have updated it looking for help and no answers. Have very few ever done this or do most not have backup sensors?
I need to know how to remove the backup sensor wires to be able to take the rear bumper off and find out what the issue is with the system. I cannot see how to disassemble the wires. I have to complete the in tomorrow as my sone needs his car back as he will be starting his summer job away from home at the start of next week and will be at his other job this weekend.
If I can't get guidance I will need to re-assemble as I don't want to break the wires as they are fragile. There are pictures on the thread below:

I have done this and remember its difficult, from memory you have to remove the sensor then the ring. I just looked at mine to see if i could jog my memory, first unclip the electrical part then the trim ( picture). i initially tried to pry the unit out whole, the bumper plastic is very soft.
As for the wiring, the loom goes through a hole under the tail light to the module, i dont remember any issues it should be straight forward

I'm sure I am dealing with a bodge. I can see no way to undo the wire on the RH rear as I think someone may have opened the green box and hardwired the wire into it. I may have to admit defeat for now and go to PnP and see if they have a car with the parts still there.
Appreciate the help very much.
Neil.

Well it may not be a bodge, but may be it is not part of the park assist but is called the 'antenna amplifier'. This is plugged into the RH rear of the bumper and I can's find how to disconnect the wire. I think removing the bolt holding it in place will allow the rear bumper to be moved out just enough to get to the connector. But I cant see how to remove it as it is buried in the cover.
Help on how to disconnect the white plug appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil.

So with the info you guys gave, I had another look at the antenna sensor. I had to remove the 10mm holding bolt as it was the only way to get enough cable to allow the connector to be accessed. After looking closely, it was easy to remove, requiring a small clip to be lifted and it came out. Similarly the other side, as the clip retainer was broken a simple wiggle of the connector got it out and bumper off.
Now, nest un-explained Vida nonsense is that you then have to disassemble the bumper 'sandwich' to get to the sensors to remove them.
This looks like you have to un-clip about 10-12 snap in barb clips to separate. How many will I break during removal?
I will photograph and document at a future date so no one else has to go through this!
Thanks,
Neil.

Quick note. Found a fair amount of water in the connector and wiring harness for both center sensors. The Right of center one when removed had no continuity. Strangely, after spraying it with WD40 and electrical cleaner, it started to work again. I replaced it with one of 2 supposedly 'good' used sensors I had. When tested it works. Still have to finish re-assembly. When I tested the sensor again later it was dead again?
Thanks guys for the support. I will try to do a write up, especially where Vida is very deficient for those who may have to tackle this at a future date.

Car is back together and running. After swapping the summer rims onto the car, my son has taken it to his work today. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for help,
