Pressostat o-ring

Post by Sveedy »

I discovered that my AC low pressure switch ( pressostat # 9171700 ) was bad and I ordered a new one, without realizing that there is an o-ring under it. I have searched and found the master list but I didn't see it listed as that. Are they listed/sold by size ?
Looks like I'm going to be without AC because of a teeny tiny o-ring :(

Sorry, but I am not clear on this Sveedy. Did you buy an OE part or aftermarket? I don't recall what is in the OE kit as it has been a few years since I bought one.

Thanks Neil
I bought a AC low pressure switch from FCP because I thought that was what I had. Volvo part. No problem there except that when I received it, the pipe size was off. Apparently I have a pressostat, not a low pressure switch. When I took off the switch, which I didn't do before I ordered it because I thought I'd loose all the freon, I saw an o-ring. I see one on FCP but if it's for the low pressure switch then that won't work. It's listed as 12 x 8 mm.
