1987 740 GLE Engine Oil Leak

I have an oil leak in the area between the water pump and the crankshaft. I replaced all the seals on the front of the engine to be sure I got it, but it still leaks. I pulled the upper timing belt cover back off and it's dry, so the leak is somewhere from the H2O pump down? Engine oil drips off the bottom of the power steering pump and lower timing cover. I also have a drop of oil hitting the exhaust manifold ever couple of minutes? Is this the head leaking--the cam cover appears to be fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Too bad no one ever replied. It would have been great info for me right now...

If you're still out there, could you please tell me what was wrong w/ your engine if you ever found out, and if you remember?
