Mine was not quite that bad.

I purchased a bunch of o rings for these ac lines but I dont know which goes where. I have green and yellow that are same size but the green is little thicker. In this picture which looks more correct?

I do not have a specific answer, but a generic o ring answer. O rings do not actually compress. They change from round to oval shape to seal. There is also a range of dimensions that are allowed when designing an o ring sealing design. Lacking any other answer, I suggest you use the green (larger diameter) o ring IF you are able to push it on to assemble the joint.

Can someone explain to me what does this part do in the AC-system? Just curious! :)

The orfice acts as a pressure regulator and filter for the system. Its placed in a very inconvenient place. It could easily have been placed closer to the front of the engine bay for easier access.

green are called ac o-rings and designed for ac components. they are more heavy duty and it looks like that would work better than yellow one.

There are 2 lines running underneath the coolant reservoir to the firewall. The smaller line is actually 2 lines bolted together. The orifice is in that smaller line. You have to remove the line completely before opening. I did it the hard way. I recommend unbolting the pieces behind the headlight before disconnecting at the firewall. It will give you more flexibility. Pay attention to the direction of the orifice when replacing.

Yeah, it's in the AC line along the passenger fender. There are some writeups on here showing the exact location.
