Re: Pcv, breather box help
Yeah I'm learning. I've never done any of this before and I'm working out of a closet. No garage. Taking things back and forth a hundred times is exhausting. But yours is looking good as well. And I'm hoping to have some more time to work this weekend.

I’m learning too and I’ve been doing this since 1965
What I’m hoping is you can learn this faster than I did. I just realized the measuring fasteners trick in the past couple years, for big projects.

Can you help me figure out what bolts are for the cover over the cams. They're a 10mm head and about 40mm in length with a little bit more grip than the intake manifold bolts. Basically the intake manifold bolts but a little longer with a little more grip. I lost one and need to buy one but couldn't find them. I dont know what the bolt is called.
These are intake bolts in picture.
And place which I have lost a bolt is the green dot.

Flange screw.
Orderable from FCP
I can take a measurement in the morning, too. If you are in a time crunch I can send you some from my current jobs (s)

Did you preload the VVT hub by turning backwards when you installed the belt? If not you will be 1-2 teeth off and will pop that code ( no engine damage, ).
That will also make your engine freight train. Check your exhaust manifold gaskets to make sure one didn’t slip off.
You are so close.....

You need to see the cams in the rear in the right configuration
Then turn past the timing marks 1/4 crank turn , then turn back to the timing marks
Then install the timing belt

@TyRawr
I just went back ten pages and this started as a bad breather box on 14 May and you have done a top-overhaul, out of a closet no less. I'm terribly impressed by your skills and wonder if you didn't miss your calling in life! And taken the time to spiff everything up!!
So I've got this P80 2.3L sitting in a garage about 100 miles from you and I'd be happy to meet you at the Brent Spence for a little 1998 V70R Cha-cha-cha
