Cyan Racing - formerly Polestar - reveals a revised / retro / continuation / re-envisioned P1800 coupe.
The photos almost look like digital renderings, but it's a real, functioning car. The greenhouse has been slid rearward, making a longer hood. The body has been slid down over the wheels so that the wheel openings now break the centerline of the body sides. Much different wheel-to-body proportion. The fins have been toned down, the rear end smoothed, the nose lowered in contrast to the exposed crossmember on the original. They chose a modern 2-liter, 4 cylinder turbo Volvo over all the other options - appropriate. 2200 lbs, 420 hp, all-independent suspension, no driver aids.

Not everyone will approve, I'm sure, but I think it's an interesting exercise, and in line with "continuation" cars like the Jaguar Eagle E-Type.

Good looking car ! I would have kept more of the fins. Don't much care for the style/size, wheels/proportions. . I don't think I'll ever like these new oversized wheels with rubber band tires. Not as bad on a car, but still... They really look absolutely idiotic on trucks.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

I never realized the hatch on these was nearly as tall as it is wide.
