Re: FDPP #2
Gnalan, I emailed Yagger. I'll update this thread when I hear from him. I want that S60 running.

I can't work on it in the rain, so today is out. Wednesday my fiance has another surgical procedure. As long as it isn't raining tomorrow I can hopefully do something with my car. It's been sitting around collecting dust for too long, and I need to get it running.
Matthew, I'm doing my best to get it running. I hate to keep asking for help from you and everyone else. I do want to pay back what I can to you, and anyone else that I've gotten parts from. You've all been a big help to us both, and we can't thank you enough for everything.
I'll have the $100 on Thursday to get the ETM reprogrammed. Hopefully that'll get my car up and running again, and it won't have to keep sitting in the barn like it is now.

I asked him to go ahead and help you. I don't know what his schedule is...

Software was transferred to the S70 ETM so it should work on my S60 now. Not able to test it yet, unfortunately. I still have a few things to finish buttoning up first. (I need the torque specs, and sequences, for the intake manifold, ETM, dipstick hold down, and fuel rail bolts.)
Thank you pete, c90, yagger, Matthew, and everyone else that's helped me out with parts/services. Sorry if I forgot anyone's name. My mind has been focused on my fiance more than on my S60 lately, but I'm happy that the car is almost done.
Another sergical procedure tomorrow, then the wait for the results. Fingers crossed that they don't find anything else, and if they do that they can get it all out soon. (I'll update more about this in the support thread in my signature.)

Took the car out today for a drive, and after maybe 3 miles while coming to a stop "Drive Slowly Service Urgent" popped up on the dashboard. Throttle response wasn't all that great either. I pulled over, popped the hood, and looked/listened for any problems. Everything sounded fine.
Got back to the house, and did an Extended diagnostic code read. This is the first time I've had any codes show up doing the deeper diagnostic code reading, and I have two codes ETM-917F and ETM-951F.
With multiple codes, according to the table, it points to code ETM-951F as being the main culprit. Anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this problem, or am I going to have to replace the accelerator pedal?
I'm glad the car is actually running a lot better, but the drivability is still horrible. I'm so close to having the car running like new again, but it still isn't to that point, yet, unfortunately.

Find a local junk yard and get a "newer" gas pedal.
Search for PNs, but I think the gas pedal is the same for many many years, maybe up to and beyond 2010?

Be careful please. Are you sure you have codes ETM-917F and ETM-951F, or ECM-917F and ECM-951F?gnalan wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 16:06 Got back to the house, and did an Extended diagnostic code read. If so, check power on the fuse #8 under hood.

ECM-917F and ECM-951F. Sorry about the confusion. I've typed ETM so much anything close to that and my auto-correct changes it.
