DIM in Svenska

I finally got around to fitting my cheap DIM i purchased on ebay from Lithuania (same code numbers). Everything seems to work plug and play exept its in Swedish, a minor detail i forgot and a google search says unlike other cars i have driven its not changed via a onboard menu?..cant even change with VIDA with a software download..

Options :
1. Dealer.
2 Yagger.
3.VDASH.
4. Get another DIM with the correct language .
5. Learn a little Svenska.

Can't do it from onboard menu. Try finding a garage that has a more expensive code reader. I think to remember there was a language change option for the DIM - but I might be wrong. Maybe Vida could do it ? I think it's rather important because something tells me you won't be able to recognize a "Low coolant level, stop safely" message on the spot. Perhaps may want to make a list with common warning messages and translate them in advance ?

I have not needed to do this nor have I looked in a long time But there were several languages listed in VIDA software list for P2 clusters. Quebec dealers often changed the DIM to French.

There is a company in Rainham, Essex that does DIM repairs. Perhaps they can do a software transfer or trade you for one in English.
