Wow yeah that's quite a bit, 1 time was enough for me for awhile

I pulled mine on the 1/4 ton as well due to the short reach, and I still mamed my front license plate
Yeah, I always try to put something between the jack on the hoist and the front bumper. For the S60R, I just removed the bumper cover. Made for a little more room.
Those foam mats work pretty well to protect everything.

Is that makeup (silver eyeliner) original?

It is. Not sure if it depends on trim level, but the S80 is similar to the NedCar S40 in that there were many headlight variants.
Kinda cute on the white but wouldn't want that on my black 03 S80.

.

My sentiments exactly. I’ve been meaning to comb through MVS to get back to troubleshooting, but it’s been hard to find the time with all the kids’ online learning.

This week I also threw in the towel on the Eurovan with nice, new timing chains that also doesn’t start and had it towed to the family mechanic. That is, the mechanic our family uses, not the mechanic in our family. :)

Swapped my clutch sensor today, and of course it STILL spikes the revs on shifts if I'm heavy on the throttle. Really odd... is this normal?

This evening I mounted new rear rotors and pads on my bmw. Tomorrow I will await my first mechanic to come home from work so we can bleed the brakes.
I looked at the receipt i found in one of the boxes and it turns out it was almost to the day one year exactly since i purchased them. Is that why my wife accuses me of being a procrastinator? I dont know. Here are some assorted pictures:

One year of careful testing before installation, darling.

A very good friend of mine has a habit of buying parts for a job and then finding out he bought them earlier. I have found sticking with a single vendor reduces the Factor Chance Probability.

Began to lower the subframe on my '98 V70 and have one tie rod and one sway bar link that do not want to leave home! The tie rod is really stuck in the hole from the knuckle, and the bolt holding the sway bar link turns with the nut. Used heat last night and lots of PB blaster on tie rod bolt/knuckle. Will try heat again on the knuckle/bolt area this morning to remove the outer tie rod from its captive spot. Any other suggestions? Not sure what to do to the nut and bolt that turn together on the link. Am hoping to remove a leaky power steering line and its side kick and replace with new, and remove the rear lower motor mount and replace with new.

On that link nut....

Use your jack to lift your link a few inches and put pressure on the taper. Then zip it off with an. Impact

Heat for 60mseconds with propane, try not to melt the boot though.

I’ve got a tie rod end popper if you are really stuck
