Not really, but I'm tired of swapping cars all the time because they break down on me. Plus I want something that's going to be reliable, and last a long time.

If I could go back in time I would have kept my 1958 Chevy Biscayne 4 door. It was around 90% restored, my daily driver, and it turned heads everywhere I went. Never saw another 4 door like it in any of the car shows I was in, and haven't seen another one since I got rid of mine. Live and learn, I just tend to do it the hard way.

When you press on the brake pedal, does the brake bulbs in the rear of the car on as designed?

That sensor won’t alter brake action. As long as your brake lights are working, no safety issues.

The cruise will be disabled if the ECU doesn’t like the readings it gets from the position sensor as it uses that sensor to drop cruise control on braking. It is probably designed fail safe so that if the voltage from the sensor is absent, cruise is turned off

Brake lights work fine.

Any chance while using the cruise control and hitting the brakes that it won't shut off the cruise control or allow the car to slow down?

I don’t know the code but when my clutch switch went wonky cruise was disabled. If you start the car, cycle the brake pedal, engage cruise, then test it, you will be fine
