My Little Bit of Garage Heaven

For the last 15 years, I have had no garage and no driveway. Before that, I had a six-car driveway and a tiny, tiny garage. I'm an old retired guy on a modest income about to close on a house near my two grandchildren AND it has an OVERSIZED 2-car garage with a 20-foot-long WORKBENCH and overhead storage. It also has its own breaker box with 240VAC in case I want to install a dryer, heater or do some heavy-duty welding (not). It's not a fancy neighborhood by any means, but I feel as if I am about to ascend to the Heavens. Thank God I never sold my monster floor jack that's too heavy for me to carry up from the basement. Ah, to start a job and know that I can just walk away from it leaving my tools out and click on the garage door opener. I think I can still look forward to a few years of enjoyable wrenching and might even go back to owning something really old and interesting. My 1993 945 qualifies as an antique now, but maybe something from the 50's or 60's. Something most other car guys have no interest in that can be had for a song because it has four doors instead of two or an inline six or four instead of a V8. There's always something out there that would be fun but not cost tens of thousands of dollars.
