I have a 2004 XC70 with 85K miles on it that has sluggish performance compared to my 2006 XC70 with similar mileage. I don't have VIDA/DICE yet, as I recently bought these cars after 9 years with my previous 2000 V70. My 2000 was NA, and the acceleration performance was similar to my 2004. I scanned it with my ELM-327 and Torque app, and it came up with a pending PO299 (low boost).
The induction hoses look OK, and the 3 vacuum lines look good, although it was hard to see the ends behind the motor-- I will look more closely. I did pick up some used turbo solenoids (the one clipped to the airbox) last time I was at the pick-and-pull that I could try if this is a candidate for causing low boost.
Let me know what the "usual suspects" are for low boost. Thanks in advance!

Leaking Charged air pipes. The pressure escapes somewhere between the turbo and the intake manifold.Herb Goltz wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 20:02 Let me know what the "usual suspects" are for low boost. Thanks in advance!
