The re-designed 2005-2007 reservoir has a different hose to the pump, so make sure to get the reservoir along with it's own hose.

Dredging up an old thread to say that I just hit this same problem where the plastic tube came off the brass tube and the fluid foamed up causing the pump to make noise. I fished it up and reattached it, but that it only lasted 5 minutes before coming off again. Oh well. A new reservoir, suction hose, and fluid have been ordered. I guess I can't complain too much, this one has lasted me for over 100k miles. I had the original one replaced while the car was still under warranty because it was leaking. This thread probably saved me a lot of time figuring out why the fluid as foaming up.

You could have got a used reservoir with hose off ebay, this is the newer model that has no longer that brass piece inside https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-07-OEM-Volv ... ondition=4

Thanks for the suggestion oragex. Too late for me, but could be useful for the next person that finds this thread.

Be sure to flush it first then install the new items. I used this method on an 03 Odyssey, 03 Lexus GS300 and 03 S80 T6. Attached the hose to the reservoir as on the second video.
