Rear hatch on 850 SW and A/C Condensor

My rear hatch on my 95 SW will not open from the inside or the outside. Can I remove the plastic to get to the lock from the inside with the hatch closed? If not is there a way to open the hatch other than the handles inside and outside the hatch?
Also I hit a deer and the condensor has a leak. How hard is it to replace the condensor?
