That’s my brother’s E34. I would looooove an E30, I’ve been on the hunt for one recently. We’re working on getting that E34 sorted out, but he’s still learning to do this stuff without me taking over, plus between school and work it’s taking some time. Runs and drives great, just needs a lot of stupid little stuff. I’d love to finish everything up for him, but haven’t really had the time with all my other projects.
Also gotta get a tire for that wheel, it’s sitting on the spare as you can see and some dope put a directional tire on it at some point... and of course it’s the wrong direction!
Here’s an older pic of it back when I had my E90.

Yup, those are Propus on my V70R.

Today I put in another late night after work.

New brake pads up front

And I replaced the front strut assembly.

In the next few days the rear suspension and tires are coming!

I’m going to bed after a quick test drive

I bought the car last year from a really nice guy in St. Louis MO.

I assume they have seen a few winters in the snow. The car was mechanically sound but the suspension was horrible from day one.

For me, The One That Got Away was a gray 84 318i coupe. Not the most desirable E30, but a fun little car that looked good and drove great. I bought an MR2 instead, fearing the quirks of an old European car as an inexperienced mechanic, and lost interest in the Toyota within a year. To its credit it was completely trouble-free with 220,000 miles.

It would have been a smart buy. Hard to imagine a $1200 E30 in any condition these days.

220,000 tasteless and taste free miles.

CDC was testing for Covid with food from Olive Garden, but everyone reported no taste.

Sweet! I've always been fascinated by the M60B30. Crazy small displacement for a V8. It's a shame they had the cylinder wall issues, otherwise they're great engines.
This one's a '95 525i, last year they made them. The M50s are great engines, super simple and smooth. Not fast by any means at all though lol.

 As an Italian, this has been a problem long before Covid.
