I have purchased a new coolant reservoir bottle and the sensor that goes into the bottom of the bottle. Are there any tricks to replacing it, anything I need to watch out for ?

Nope...just make sure the contacts are clean (clean with electrical cleaner spray) and put back together. Your light on the dash (if present) should go out on it's own after a few miles.
