Neil.
I did have 1 jack stand on both sides of the car...until I needed to support the driver side more so I could inspect the gas tank and decide how I'll get that off. Driver side currently has both jack stands with no blocks and passenger side has 3 blocks holding it up. I think 1 2-hole and 2 solid 4" blocks should hold 500lb just fine.
The problem with concrete blocks is they have no warning, they just crumble. They are not intended to support much load other than a widely spread weight from a stack of like blocks. Using them to support a vehicle loads them more than you would expect. I have used them when when I was young and they broke. Fortunately, I did not get hurt and learned not to use them for vehicle support. Get a stack of 2x6 boards or better yet more jack stands. We don't want to have you get hurt.

It's a common error in reasoning to think that because blocks support houses they can support cars

That is false. Do not use them in any form for this please.

UPDATE #4
I tore out the rest of the engine bay minus the brake booster and also the interior front. This is the point at which it becomes difficult because I have to sort all the wiring to figure out which wiring goes and which stays, as well as how to rewire the items I'm keeping. Wiring is a VERY fun activity for me but this sorting will test how many marbles my head has.

IMO.....
You’d be better off cutting the car cleanly at the front of the B pillar / back of the front door openings. Then you have a strong front corner “ post.” Weld a full height bulkhead across the front face of this shape. Gut the inside, make a flat platform. Weld a tongue triangle on the front, overlapping the frame rails.

What’s the point of having the firewall and windshield and all that weight?

For that matter, a trailer is useful because you can throw things INTO it, not slide them in the tailgate, and to carry tall things that don’t fit in a wagon. Just use an old pickup bed like everybody else does.

Are you referring to a similar cut like the displayed gray trailer?
I want to go with how the displayed blue trailer was done.
Spoiler: This will be a camper and utility trailer. I want to keep the functionality of the folding 2nd row so i can sleep there. I did that about 2 times in this one. And then if I want to help someone move their giant couch and washer or dryer, I will have...about 9.5 feet front to back. I just measured.
Actually I fit my old couch in my previous 01 v70 base which might have 1/2" more or less than the 98 v70. The couch fit from hatch to next to the back of my driver seat (7.5-8ft?). My friend and I tried fitting his pool table in this 98 but the hatch opening was 1/4" too narrow. I need to change that 😃

I think both trailers look cool. I hope you can get your trailer together.

Yep. Those guys spent a great deal of money on those projects.
Blue one kind of gives me the creeps. Also, it will have a lot more tongue weight because of where the wheels are.

Abscate is in fine form this morning.
