I've been having issues with this for a while now. In June 2020 I had the Oil Trap replaced, the Fresh Air Hose, and had the throttle body cleaned. A couple of months ago my engine light came on and took it back. Mechanic replaced the Vacuum Hose Intake Manifold. After a couple of days, I got a Fuel Fille Cap Loose. Replaced the fuel cap. Kept getting the P0442 code. Took it back to the mechanic and they replaced the Charge Air Pipe and Fresh Air Hose (yes, again but I didn't get charged for this).
So now the engine light is back on, same code. And the car seems to stall after starting. When I step on the gas the engine doesn't rev. I'm at a loss as to what to do now. Take it back again. Or start looking for a new car. So far I've spent about $3000 and I'm hesitant to keep dumping money in if the problem is not getting fixed.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Leak detection pump: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 0261222019 You can run its diagnostic in VIDA and confirm it does not develop a vacuum.

What about the evap hoses under the hood? Mine began to break down and developed a leak. I replaced the hoses and no more evap code. These are the hoses that run under the intake and connect to the nipple at the middle of the intake and have 2 or 3 check valves inline. Not sure if they can leak enough to cause the stalling problem. Given the work that has been done recently, I would inspect all the hoses and check for a vacuum leak.
