Hi Guys, And Happy New Year...... What are the best exhaust manifold bolts to buy, and where... mine keep losing up, a friend told me I need new bolts, Ill go along with that.
then again I was also thinking about hitting one of the yards, my friend told me that if they are super tight then they are probably good,that they haven't been removed quite often, had one hell of a time doing my pvc, and it had to come off twice. stupid lower bracket wouldn't line up and dilemma after dilemma, any ways some please get back to me. Thank you!

Exhaust manifold uses studs and nuts, no bolts. Or locknuts, actually. You can get new studs from any auto parts store just bring in an old one to match it up, re-use the locknuts or get them from the junkyard or buy some new ones at any auto parts store.
Intake manifold uses bolts. If you actually mean intake manifold (the one you took off for PCV work) I'd get bolts from the junkyard if that's easily accessible for you. Get a handful. They are all the same size all the way around the intake manifold. Don't over tighten them however, this is very important. You can use loctite blue on these if they are not staying tightened. Don't use red loctite on intake manifold bolts.
You can also get any of these parts online but that would be slower and probably more expensive. You might be able to get good info on the sizes from an online site, especially IPD gives out good info on nut and bolt sizes for example.

As above, intake bolts are 15 ft.lb (20 Nm) which is not a lot - Volvo has a 'paper' gasket . But I'd say, if they keep loosen up, maybe the manifold need be supported by a lower bracket, I know on later NA there is a lower bracket to the manifold . Without it, vibrations from the engine and low bolt torque will cause them to come loose
