It does sound like the signal isn't getting to or from the ETM. I've had a rebuilt ETM from XemodeX and I trust them, so I would say the problem is somewhere upstream from the ETM's cable. Even though you have an accelerator pedal code, I don't think it's the accelerator pedal, because I had a similar error code when my ETM went bad - I think it's just the ECU making a judgment that the accelerator pedal must not be working since you're pressing it and the throttle position isn't changing.
