Has anybody verified that this will work on both versions of the P2 CEM? P2 CEM-H (1998-2004) and P2 CEM-L (2005-2016).

Hi RickHaleParker,
have you already tested this kit (Teensy 4.0 + MCP2515+CY1076) in the car?
My attempts were unsuccessful 😞

I have the hardware sitting in a box ready for assembly but been busy playing with my Next Generation Amiga.

Which version of the software do you have loaded? VTL's version or Mark Dapoz's version for the Teensy 4.0 onboard CAN.

P3 Volvos CEM blocks are based on M32C processors as well. Could it be possible to use this algorithm to crack a P3 PIN code too?
With a prerequisite that it is known how to deal with the PIN ceed request...

Hey Guys, first thanks for this unbelievable work.

I ordered now everything for my own CEM Cracking Module (Teensy 4.0 + MCP2515 + CY1076).

Im Driving an Volvo V70 II T5 (MY2005) with the CEM-L

Is there allready any Software to modify his own CEM Module ? (Like VDASH for P3 Volvos) or will i do need send my Cracked Pin Code to VDASH (to unlock my Car for Vdash).

I allready unlocked my Friends Volvo p3 with Dice + Vdash and deactivated his light und Pos0.

Sorry for my Bad English and Greetings from Germany.

With Regards

David

Timing attack can't be applied to P3. Worse, in some jurisdictions, like USA, it is not legal to develop an algorithm that will crack it, since its hash computation algorithm falls under DMCA umbrella. Though it is perfectly legal to build a your own thing based on P3 chassis and drivetrain, but replacing its proprietary electronic modules with your own.

Also, in my opinion, P3 and newer Volvos are soulless junk and not worth it. Volvo is not dedicated to build quality and "customer first" approach anymore.

You need to have the pin code setup in VDASH, which means, you have to crack it yourself or you send the CEM to D5T5 and get it cracked. Both ways end up in assigning your PIN in VDASH, before you can do anything. :)

So if you have already ordered the necessary parts (unlike me... :( ), get your PIN with the provided software from this very thread and send it to D5T5. They will set it in your configuration for VDASh and you should be good to go. :)

German translation:
