Big thanks for all the support.
Can I use VIDA for any type of logging to determine if it's a valvbody issue?

Any point to have a look at the B4 servocover and shuttle again to make sure I got it in withoid damaging the orings?

Hello again
Will have another go at fixing my 3-4 flare and now with delayed engagement P to D

With all your help and som local support the best bet is to replace the hole valve body, but it's kind of expensive for a car this old.
1. So one lead is that the S3 and/or S5 is leaking or is working slow (clogged)
2. The other one is that the line pressure is low and a shift kit from TransGo or Sonnax will help

If I would measure the line pressure at home what would I need to do and what PSI values are relevant ?

There's some pretty good diagnostic resources on the Sonnax website on those problems, I'll post a link at the end of this message. My best guess is that assuming that the pressure is adequate and the software is valid ( reasonable assumptions) that there is a problem with any of the solenoids excluding S1 and S5. The drive engagement could be a problem with any of three solenoids, most likely SLT. I would suggest the repair most likely to fix the problem for the least cost would be to source out a used valve body from an equivalent model and use a Transgo shift kit. This is what worked for me, As I recall you changed the linear solenoids last time to Sonnax? I would start again with a valve body with the original solenoids and clean the bores with the Transgo kit and clean meticulously the rest of the valve body. As an alternative, you could just get some used solenoids and clean/ rebuild them and install on your valve body. I am obviously leaning strongly toward a problem with the solenoids.https://www.sonnax.com/tech_resources/1 ... nformation

Best route is to replace the valve body with a new one, GM from ACDelco. It is even less expensive than Sonnax-rebuilt.

Feel kind of stupid navigating their page, is it a SATURN valv body I'm looking for ?

Yes, p/n 24228787 I think. In $500ish range. It requires a transfer of S2 solenoid and B5 spring.

Also if you're still interested in pressure ports location and values: https://www.sonnax.com/tech_resources/1 ... nformation

I talked to transmission rebuilder recently, he finally switched to factory new valve bodies for AW55 after years of Transmaxx and Sonnax. Less labor, more quality and customer satisfaction for buck.

Myself has a Sonnax, but I would go with ACDelco now.

Attached are photos of the pressure gauge I purchased to do pressure checks. I've also attached my notes for the AC Delco valve body replacement. I'm not sure the valve body is a sure a fix for the 3-4 flare but it's possible. For the pressure gauge measurements I did have to purchase some 1/4 npt fittings to get to one of the taps; an elbow and extension. If you do change out the valve body read the notes for several things to pay close attention to.

If a new valve body would fix my flare 100% I would do it. Really good instructions on getting the valve body to work in Volvo :)

What do you think about this ??
