I'm in the honeymoon phase with my new-to-me 1998 S70 GLT, and have a few questions for the hive mind:
- Any tip for what glue to use on the side panels on the outside of the door? Mine are loose in a couple of spots.
- Which shop manual to get?
- Any Android or iOS ODB2 app that people particular like? I'm currently using Torque Pro for Android and it seems fine, but wondering what else people like.
- The top of my steering wheel is sun damaged and flaking a bit, is there a way to fix that somehow? If not, any tips on a steering wheel cover?
- Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing the paint delamination? My roof and trunk are really bad, and there's a bit on my hood.
I was going to try the methods here, although I don't need mine looking super perfect:
- And I need some touchup paint too, I think my shade is "nautic blue".
Or as I mentioned in another thread I'm considering painting my trunk and roof with pickup truck bed liner, so I can pile things on it without worrying about scratches. I frequently have to carry wood and things like for a half mile or so on a 10mph dirt road. Can anyone think of a reason that this is a terrible idea?
- And I'd like to make my stereo and cigarette lighter be always on, not needing the key turned. I was thinking about running a fused line directly from the battery, but does anyone have a tip for a closer power source that's always on? If not, if I run a line to the battery, any advice about how to get the wire through the firewall?
And thank you!

There is a yellow accessory plug under dash which has fused battery and ignition switch outputs on it. You need a male 2x4 Tetris plug , with three overlapped to plug into that. I have searched for those but haven't found a source yet

There is a rubber grommet in the firewall that runs from somewhere close to the ABS module to where the clutch pedal is or would be mointed to the firewall.
