I'm partial to this 122, which currently sits at $6700 on BaT. Let's see what it gets to. viewtopic.php?p=567401#p567401

I think the 17" are to large, but that's probably the old guy in me. Again.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Yeah, on that body the sidewalls are just too short for everyday use if you keep the rolling diameter stock. You can get the factory 15" wide steelies, or make some 16s, but they'd be custom.

Watched it go, just to torture myself. There were four or 5 active bidders; still not too bad considering all the heavy lifting was done, and a dry car its whole life.

This is all I've managed to do to mine in the last year or so, GM alternator listed for mid 70s cars, adjuster bracket off a Chevy straight 6 - with tinkering.

Steady electricity is good! My '67 Alfa headlights dim at stoplights - the last year for generators.

You have factory A/C?
Is it the flash, or has that radiator outlet been recently soldered on?

On that BaT wagon, it seems like I've seen really pretty ones for about that or less. Mechanically that one was nice - it's got some wobbly panels and a couple of rust spots to repair. But I guess that's what happens when the right combination of people show up who want something.

This was a really nice wagon, with several mechanical upgrades. '64 with a B20. Suspension and brake tweaks, rebuilt rear end, 6x15 custom steelies, dual circuit brakes, alternator, newer steering box, etc. I think I like original 2nd gen seats over the 240s.

Here's a nice 122 Carrera Panamericana car with some serious mods underneath.
And check the rear fuel filler neck, which is now a bottle opener.
