^ Seemingly yes. But without the alcohol that you get with say a Bloody Mary. A soup called Menudo is generally considered the ultimate hang-over cure but I just don't have the taste for it. Huevos Rancheros with chorizo does just fine by me.

It seems that in the south, Black-eyed peas are a New Years tradition.

But no matter what we eat - Happy New Year to all !! It's a low bar but this year has to be better than the last.

Here in Colorado, it's Colorado beer (New Belgium, O'Dells, Breckenridge Brewery, Coors, etc.) and Mexican food. Colorado has a high Hispanic population for over 100 years, and they thankfully brought their cuisine with them.

I worked at one when I was 17. A co-worker had a 1979-ish Trans Am with the huge 454. Like the car from Smokey and the Bandit, but it was gold. Every night at around midnight he'd do a burn out when he got off his shift. I could hear it from my house a 1/2 mile away in the summer when my window was open.

That car is probably worth a nice sum today.

I had a white one with the big block 400 (6.6L). It would top out at 166 mph but the BB 400 was junk. You push it hard a few times and it would start coming apart.
