ECM-6806 Turbocharger control system flow fault- flow too low

Post by Herb Goltz »

Hi All,

I just got VIDA-DiCE running today and did a quick scan of my 2004 XC70, which had a surprising number of stored codes (see attached screen cap).

The one that interested me the most was ECM-6806 Turbocharger (TC) control system flow fault- flow too low. This car has less boost than my 2006 with about the same mileage (~140k km, or 85k mi). It also has a slightly rough idle.

I have to figure out how to erase these codes and see which ones come back...

Definitely clear the codes and see what comes back.

erase is on the same screen that is showing the codes in delivery.
Just scroll down, the page is usually bigger than the computer screen so the delete button isn't visible but its down there.

Thanks! Just starting to get the hang of VIDA, as well as having to learn all the P2 acronyms...

I've struggled through the ECM-6806, more here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=95124.

Unless your VIDA changes its mind, the issue is somewhere along the air intake -- anywhere from air box to where throttle body mounts on to intake manifold -- hoses, sensors, and valves.

Thanks for that-- it is a long read! It seems to me that I will need to have a careful look at the whole induction path-- things are really buried in these P2's compared to my old 945T...

Unless someone says otherwise, ECU takes a fully charged battery to accept ERASE ALL command -- clear the stored codes. You need to plug the battery to an external battery charger/maintainer to be successful erasing.
