How do i remove wiper arms. 740GL us spec

I am trying to remove the air intake grille but do not know how to detach the wiper arms. Can someone enlighten me on how to do the procedure. Thanks sseir39 for the advice on where to check for leaks.

Before removing the wipers mark the parked position of the blades on the screen with either a crayon or some tape.

At the bottom end of the wiper arm there is a plastic cover. Gently lift this up and remove it. You will see a hexagon nut. Undo the nut then fold the wiper arm at the hinge. This is usually enough to make it come off the splined arm. If it does not come off put the nut back on the arm for a couple of threads then using adjustable pliers put one end under the arm, the other on the nut and squeeze gently.
