1993 850 refuses to start...at all.

Post by i_is_tiger_woods »

Well, here we go again. I had posted a topic involving my car just randomly stalling (191,096 miles)...well, that problem was solved, and the car was working fine for about a month or so. One morning last week, I jumped into my car to run to the store, and the car proceeded to crank...but no turnover. It sounded as if it wanted to fire, but it wasn't doing so. After further investigation, it was discovered that the ignition rotor...well, essentially exploded. I replaced the rotor, as well as the wires, cap, and plugs. Still nothing...the car behaves the same way it did...crank but no turnover. What the hell is going on?!?! Oh, and to add to that, it seems as if fuel is being delivered; when I tried to start the vehicle, I could smell unburned fuel...it wasn't overwhelming, but just enough to let you know that fuel is being delivered...maybe...I don't know, and that's why I'm here.
