To get back to the lifetime alignments- I've gotten them from our local Firestone on 3 cars. They're good about noting things to fix, which I then take home and fix. Check the online reviews or any other info you can first. I was lucky since I have connections with the community college Automotive program- they know who's good because they trained most of them! :)

I've never had to align a P2 car but probably should soon - is it the same, or is the rear not adjustable?
Based on my experience at Firestone I believe the rears are adjustable. Hopefully we'll see after I replace the bent stay and return for alignment.
The rears are definitely adjustable. However, my bushings are seized meaning more part replacements before this can be done. I started a different thread about this (maybe a forum mistake - sorry). I doubt my rears were adjusted during previous allignments, which is probably why the bushings are so totally frozen.

I might take the XC70 to Volvo for an alignment, just to get it looked at once by someone who knows (hopefully). My experience with alignments at the local shops here has been poor.
