Trying to figure out the original paint code for my 79 242. Starting some light body work and thinking of going original color. I have searched all over and cannot figure this one out. Apparently the 79 and below cars did not have the paint code on the passenger strut tower. Some say maybe radiator core support - not found on mine. Have a couple of pictures that may help.
I am the third owner, when he bought it the sales slip says it was "GRN", he resprayed it after putting in a new trunk and quarters metallic blue. What am I missing? Where else should I look? Thanks

Wasn't there a common pale green / sort of apple green color in that era? Have you searched for Volvo color chart images?

Thank you for the replies! Still searching for something close. May have found it through this link:

The 77-82 Autocolor 2 chart, right side code 150. Those pillars usually stay pretty true to the real color and not faded over time in my experience. Still sifting through colors and trying to find that 150 in a photo.
Thanks again for the help!

Volvo green 109 was the match. Which is strange because everything I read says they used the color on older cars. The 242 in question is a 79. Took apart the door for rust fix and the overspray of the original green/blue is in the door.
