Installing tow hitch wiring, 2007 Volvo V50

Hello,

Has anybody installed tow hitch wiring using the Volvo module and wiring harness? I have an aftermarket unit but I don't care to use it if there is a Volvo plug and play system available. I have heard that a software update is needed but may no longer supported? Just curious if anyone has done this and can walk me through the exact parts needed and any other special info.
