Need to shim the AC, i believe i misjudged the gap last time as my AC refuses to start up on some days. It does have a good amount of charge and VOLFCR reveals that its operating pressures when on are within normal ranges. Infact, it does reach levels when it is not activated that i know are above the low pressure range as i measured it when charging it.

Hoping to fix this soon as the black interior acts like an oven on warmer days.

Tell me about it... worst part about black interiors!
I should really tint my windows. That helps a lot to reduce the heat.

I absolutely love my window tinting ! It's not extremely dark but it's enough to make quite a difference in the summer heat.
Particularly nice if the car is left parked in the sun.

Now as to these little boogers ...this is the time of the year for them to come out. I found this couple yesterday when doing some yard cleaning. Personally they don't bother me. But the centipedes.... They're another story. 6" long, 1/2" wide with pincers and toxin.
They give me chills, even though these scorpions are way more deadly.

They give me chills, even though these scorpions are way more deadly.

Timing belt, tensioner &c. on the newest addition to the collection, mostly because it needed front cam seals. Looks like they skipped a step when it got its' last service.

Ceramic tints are the way forward. Significant reduction in UV and thermal without the daft ghetto look that eventually bleaches purple/peels. More expensive, but much better performance, and the added benefit of having anti-glare properties to deal with all the imbeciles badly installing HIDs into their Euro whips.

Yes, we have scorpions here. They seem to like our attic and when it gets hot they crawl down through the ceiling lights. I found two in the house just yesterday. They are easy to squash and don't concern me too much.
We also have ticks here - the big dog ticks and the small deer ticks. These blood suckers really creep me out.
And then there are the snakes. My creed is the only good snake is a dead snake.

But we are unlikely to freeze in the dark here.

Tried to replace the mad to realize my intake to the throttle has a hole in it due to the plastic deteriorating. Sealed it with aluminum tape and made note to pull the good one off the crashed car. At the same time the hose on the intake manifold came off causing the car to stall constantly. I undid my work and wedged the intake manifold hose in. Will try to pick up some 3/16 fuel line hose to replace that side line. Will clean the other maf and put it in the car
