Hi all,
This is my first time posting so first off, hello. Sorry in advance if this is somewhere in the forums but I didn't see this anywhere yet. I've got a 2004 XC90 2.5t with many MANY issues but right now I'm focusing on the front passenger seat that is electronic. From previous owner problems, years of neglect, rot from moisture, and an issue with an electric seat control module (part number 0141298Z01) that burned out (literally) the passenger seat will no longer move at all. I didn't, but a close friend attempted to connect the seat to a different 12v source but without the module in working order it still will not move.
I wouldn't mind so much if the seat was in a normal position but it is all the way back and I have children to haul around. I've tried to find a way to move the seat, example: cranking the motor by hand, with no luck. I've tried looking for manual track replacements online, even universal ones, with no luck.
I've moved on to trying to locate a manual slide track seat to replace the whole thing from the frame up. Also, with no luck. I'm not even sure if the vehicle came with a manual motion seat.
At this point I'm looking for advice, help, etc. Because I've exhausted the local salvage yards within a 50 mile radius of my home. Erie VoVo has nothing in stock. Volvo refers me to dealers who have given me quotes upwards of $1000. Any advice and/or help is appreciated!

Get VIDA/DiCE up and running so you can ask the truck where it hurts. It might just be as simple as a open CAN Bus to the seat module.

I don't see where you fully diagnosed it yet.idr04XC90 wrote: 09 Jul 2021, 16:33 Hi all,

Its going to require getting in there and exploring deeper,
unbolt the seat and rock it back to where you can gain access.
The control module is toast but what caused it, the power harness connector is prone to corrosion.

There are guys on craigslist who will pull parts from the salvage yard for a fee.
Salvage yards would prefer to sell you the whole seat rather than parts from it.
Theres a big pick n pull in Billerica MA (Hollands), try the craigslist local to that, maybe Boston area.
If no joy call Hollands direct. Just google them, they have a website and usually plenty of volvo's.
Did you try ebay ?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/282631671496?c ... lAEALw_wcB
Ebay UK has them, $25 shipping.
Just google the part number, I see several.
