Hi friends. I have an 850 Sedan, and was wondering what door mounted roof bars you guys use on yours. Link much appreciated.
Thanks!

Yakima makes a set of feet that use the little holes in the body at the head of the door opening. The rubber feet sit right on the heavy rail area.
We just used the round Yakima bars.

Hey thanks Black Bart. Do you have a link to those feet? I actually pulled up the Yakima website and put in my vehicle info and they said they had no compatible options. Thanks!

You're going to have to Google "Thule Volvo 850" and find available towers and fit kits, etc via ebay or Amazon. Thule or Yakima don't make them any longer. Find a set of towers, and then search for the proper fit kit for them (I'm away from home, so I can't dig up the parts on our cars.)
I have Thule Transition(?) towers and fit kits for both of our 850s. I had to put both together from ebay.
The square Thule bars should still be available, and most of the accessories these days fit the square/round/aero crossbars, but you need to check on what you're wanting to mount.
We currently have a set of the Thule towers/bars with a Thule cargo box on my '97 854 for our vacation trip. Normally I have another Thule rack set up on it with a pair of bike mounts. I run that about 9-10 months out of the year during the active cycling event season for me (I stuff it in the garage as a unit over the winter.)

If anyone has any links to fitting door mounted roof bars, I'd much appreciate it. Been looking all over amazon, ebay and roof rack specific websites.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Look up Traverse or 400XT foot packs. (Ours are the 400xt)
The fit kit for the 400xt is 161
Not sure about the Traverse. (They may not have done a Traverse one for the 850)
These are square bar kits.
Yakima Q-towers with Q51 clips is another option (round bars)
Googling the 400xt and the 161 fit kit should direct you to ebay and other links to find what you are looking for. You're not going to find some one-stop, point and click source. You'll have to search.
I did just find THESE ON EBAY.
That will get you the hard to find parts. The crossbars and other accessories are easy. Looks like that set doesn't come with locks/keys, but those are readily available, even new.

Thank you Chuck! I'll see about those Yakima feet there on Ebay. I appreciate your help, and I really like the S70 and XC70 parts on your 850 =)
