Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
I recall reading this somewhere but for the life of me I'm not sure what it means...I assume it has something to do with errors in the shifting mechanism...PNP switch?? Read your transmission codes from the A-1 socket to see if there are any errors stored in the computer.
Yep...suspected it.
Turn the ignition on and with your foot on the brake, row your gear shift from P all the way down to L and back up again quickly about 20 times...then go and reset the code you got from the A-1 socket. See if this cures the blinking. Even though this might work, you're probably in for a rebuild or replacement of the PNP switch pretty soon.
